Ingredients

  • 10 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Methi Seeds (Fenugreek Seeds)
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)

Instructions

To begin preparing the Ranjaka method, heat to boiling point the dehydrated red chillies with 1 cup liquid for about 20minutes till the chillies become soft.mix in the chilies with fenugreek seeds and lemon nectar into a grinder and grind it into a coarse paste.To temper, mildly hot a small kadai with oil and mix in the mustard seeds and leave it crackle.

mix in the curry leaves and allow it splutter and stream in this over the chutney and enjoy. enjoy the Karnataka Style Ranjaka method with Tawa paratha, Yellow Pumpkin Dal method and palya by the side.
