Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 cup Instant Oats (Oatmeal)
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Moong Dal (Split)
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 2 tablespoons Cashew nuts - quartered

Instructions

To begin making the Oats Sakkarai Pongal method we will first stew the Yellow Split Moong Dal.

I will be using a pressure cooker to stew the Moong Dal.

You can also use the saucepan method.Rinse the Moong Dal under aqua and place it in the pressure cooker.

stream in in 3/4 cup of aqua and stew the Moong Dal, wrap the skillet, place the weight on and until you hear one whistle.

After the first whistle, turn the burning up to low and stew for 3 to 4 moments.

After 3 to 4 moments, turn off the burning up and allow the pressure to release naturally.

Keep this aside.In our next step, we will bake and stew the oats.

wrap the skillet and keep the burning up on low, while we proceed to prepare the seasoning.To make the seasoning for the Oats Sakkarai Pongal; burning up 2 tablespoons of ghee on medium burning up.
