Ingredients

  • 1 cup Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal)
  • 1 cup Dill leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh coconut - grated
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy seeds
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 1 Tomato - chopped
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 1 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves
  • 3 tablespoon Sambar Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Jaggery
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Salt - to taste

Transfer to a container and set aside. burning up a kadai with oil on a medium flame, toss in mustard seeds let it splutter then toss in the curry leaves.

And toss in the ground  dal masala.

mix gently and cook thoroughly for 10 moments.toss in the drained liquid that you had kept aside and whiz well, you can toss in 1 more cup of liquid and toss in jaggery and check for seasoning.
