Ingredients
8 Leftover roti
1/4 cup Jaggery - grated
1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
1/2 Badam (Almond)
1/4 cup Dates - (pitted) finely chopped
2 tablespoons Ghee
Instructions
1
To begin making the Malida method, tear the Roti to bite sized pieces.
2
Process the roti to coarse texture using Food Processor.
3
You would get about approximately 3 cups of the roti mixture.
4
Keep this aside. The next step is to process the arid fruits.
5
First mix in the almonds and make a course ground mix.Into a large mixing mixing bowl, mix in the powdered almonds, minced dates, cardamom ground mix and jaggery.
6
swirl around well to combine.
7
Keep this mixture aside. Our next step is to lightly arid-fry the roti ground mix in ghee.
8
bring to temperature a heavy bottomed cooking vessel on low bring to temperature and liquefy the ghee.
9
mix in in the Roti ground mix and swirl around well.arid-fry the whole wheat roti for about 5 to 7 moments or until the ground mix is scalding enough.
10
The reason we arid-fry on low bring to temperature, is so that it becomes crisp slightly and the bring to temperature also helps in binding the remaining fixings to make the malida.mix in this toasted ground mix to the wide mixing bowl with other fixings.
11
Combine all the fixings together using your hand.
12
Once mixture feels wet, start making small bite balls out of the Malida Mixture.Malida would be little sticky while making balls but the jaggery will get hard and hold shape once it rests for a few moments.offer the Malida as a tea time snack or as a wholesome lunch box snack for kids.
13
This honeyed is packed with nutrition and goodness that you can have it as a speedy energy booster for those long work days.
