Ingredients
1/2 cup Broken Wheat (Dalia/ Godumai Rava) - (I used the smaller grains)
2 cups Water
350 ml Milk
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
Sugar - to taste or drizzle with honey
Fresh fruits - as required
Mixed nuts - as required
Instructions
1
To begin making the Meetha Dalia - Broken Wheat Porridge formula, we have to first dehydrated the broken wheat.introduce the broken wheat to a skillet placed on low toasty and toast till it becomes golden brown. To the same skillet, introduce moisture and fennel seeds to it and toasty till it softens. Next introduce dairy liquid and let the contents come to a heat to boiling point.
2
stew on medium-low flame till dairy liquid and broken wheat are well assimilated and start to thicken just a little bit.Switch off the toasty.
3
swirl around in the granulated sugar.
4
Allow the contents to cool or dish up toasty with fruits of your choice. If you intend to have the porridge with fruits, ensure that it is not burning, else, the fruits will release moisture and turn mushy.
5
(And it might non-honeyed profile bad)dish up Meetha Daliya on its own or along with a burning cup of Espresso Coffee for a weekday breakfast.
